Great experience that I highly recommend:) The van is comfortable and super well appointed. Driving is intuitive, and the electric battery is not a problem thanks to route planning. We slept and surfed in incredible places, accompanied by a great teacher (thank you Antoine)! We had a great stay thanks to thefamilyvan. We went as a couple with our 2 and a half year old daughter, it was our first trip in a van and they helped to make it unforgettable!
I had heard about this company on the networks and I admit that I liked the idea of traveling by electric vehicle from an ecological point of view.
As soon as we booked our questions about the car seat (which was purchased for the occasion, thank you again!) and other details were answered very quickly.
The van was very pleasant to drive and everything needed was available. Camping chairs and a tent + duvet were even provided. Everything is ultra-functional and aesthetic what's more. The 2 seater mattress is very comfortable and suited all 3 of us!
It is very easy to do with electricity. We had a little scare in the Spanish Basque mountains with the battery running out quickly but if we honestly know it we didn't feel slowed down at all by the electricity. It's great to drive and to tell yourself that you can enjoy nature by polluting it a little less.

So we highly recommend the experience and especially with TheFamilyVan. Thanks again to the whole team for the organization and the quality property that you provide.

We tested the ThevanFamily electric van during a 4-day road trip in Landes. We really enjoyed this ecological and economic experience. Indeed, there was no need to fill up with gas (that's the principle) and to recharge, we stopped for the night at campsites or used fast charging stations during our lunch breaks or visits. And what about the layout of the van? Ideal for 1 or 2 people, it offers bed, fridge and kitchen space. A small studio on wheels, super practical. Personally, we fully subscribe to this new concept.

Great stay

The guides were at our disposal throughout the trip. We were able to discover these beautiful regions, as well as to surf regularly depending on the conditions. The surf schools chosen met our expectations, too bad that some days did not allow us to enjoy them because of the weather conditions... I recommend this stay! 🏄 ‍ ♂️

The family van team was great

The family van team was great and really thought of everything to please their customers. The van is very well equipped and really easy to drive. The destinations were well chosen, the surf lessons good, especially in Capbreton. Two small drawbacks for me: the first was sharing the van with a stranger and having only slept in the tent located above (I knew in advance that it was shared but did not fully understand the tent system and thought that we could have exchanged roles so I am partly responsible for it), the second the poor condition of the equipment from the last surfing lesson, the information should be reported and processed because the Family team is very reactive! Experience to repeat to know real life only in Van:) I recommend!

A magnificent experience!! The organization of The Family Van was top notch, arrived at Dax station we picked up the van and our surfing gear, a few explanations for the autonomy and the charging of the vehicle, then the adventure begins! A great trip for a surf trip with recommendations for walking around and discovering our magnificent regions in France. The Family Van is planning a very copious lunch basket that lasted us all week! Then in this type of trip there are great encounters, Antoine who was our surf teacher, accompanied us all week through the different regions to find the best spots and during the sessions they give great advice for both beginners and intermediates! It was a first for me in electric vans. It is perfectly adapted to the proposed travel format, all itineraries are calculated in advance for our comfort. We don't have to worry about autonomy or other fears that we can think of in relation to electricity. Also, the vehicles are super well equipped and very comfortable.

The team is very welcoming and available! Always ready to give advice or find solutions in case of problems.

In short, only for the positive, you can go for it with your eyes closed.

3 great days spent thanks to the family van, rediscovering the Basque country under a beautiful sun. Whether before, during the rental and even when returning the van, the welcome and availability of the team was more than great. Electric driving is easy, the layout of the van is practical and pleasant, in short I can only recommend!!

Although I was not lucky in terms of weather during my week aboard The Family Van's e-jumpy, I loved my experience! The electric van is so fun to drive and the layout is practical, well-designed and cozy. Perfect for a few days wandering around in the Landes or elsewhere! Travelling in an electric van is a necessary adjustment, made so enjoyable by the great team at The Family Van!

Very good experience for our part, we spent a week following the proposed itinerary which gave us a lot more around the villages of the Basque Country.
Note that the electric van requires a gentle pace, which is very appreciable.

A friendly, responsive and attentive team. There was everything you needed to travel for a few days. We had brought a small extra blanket in view of the temperatures (February). We did not plan a specific itinerary and gradually came up with recommended places or found on the internet. To be done again!

We recently opted for a van rental from Dax to visit the region, and our experience was just great.

Here's why we're giving it five stars:

Ease of recovery: Pickup of the van at the exit of the station was quick and simple, making it easy to start our trip.
Impeccable layout: The van was perfectly equipped, meeting all our needs for a comfortable stay. Even as newbies to this type of trip, we did not miss anything.
Pleasant driving: Driving the van was smooth and pleasant, which greatly contributed to our enjoyment of discovering the area.
Useful guide: We also opted for the additional guide, which proved to be a nice resource for discovering spots to see/restaurant/campgrounds in the region without getting too busy.

And as a possible area for improvement, we simply suggest providing new campers with additional information on campsite closing times, in order to facilitate their travel experience.

The van is very comfortable, the team super responsive if necessary, it was a great first vanlife experience 😎 We were three, so we chose the mattress option on the front seats for the 3rd bed and it was very good. When it comes to driving, it's child's play and to recharge the van too! In short, there is no reason not to be tempted:)

I recommend this unforgettable experience with The Family Van, Kévin and Noémie are incredibly kind, attentive and very professional, between the first contact and the meeting on site everything was put together in an irreproachable manner.
The 5 days in a surfskate yoga van trip that I spent with the group were a pure delight, being the veteran of the band (53 years old) I had a little apprehension but I immediately felt at ease as if we had known each other forever.
The surfskate lessons with @tensehorr allowed me to progress well thanks to Hortense who is very attentive, pro, patient, pedagogue and who provided us with excellent boards from the Yow brand
The vehicles are very well maintained, equipped and very practical.

We had a great trip with The Family Van, I highly recommend them!! We rented an electric van for two people for a week. Everything went very well, the van is spacious and comfortable! We had no problems whatsoever with the vehicle's equipment and the recharging of the vehicle. Hoping to be able to go back with them this summer!!

Going on an adventure with The Family Van is trying an extraordinary experience. A pre-scheduled road trip with a roadbook and surfing lessons every morning. An experience full of promises, a team of 8 people who do not know each other, for a stay rich in landscapes and encounters. A special mention to Antoine, a top surfing teacher with good advice on the stages of the Road. Not to mention the team available at any time in case of need through the concierge. I would highly recommend this experience!

9 days of vacation in an electric campervan. It was fun and fun to drive. If you stay in the same region and don't leave for miles, electricity is not a problem! There is storage and the bed is quite comfortable. The only disadvantage is that you have to cover yourself well if you leave when it is cold, because the insulation is very light.

It was a great experience, a human, sporting and super rewarding adventure. The idea of mixing road-trip in a campervan, with an electric vehicle, all in a group makes the trip very interesting in all aspects. In terms of surfing lessons, Antoine is simply at the top! Both cool and educational, he plays an important role in this trip by not only limiting himself to his activity as an instructor, he is a guide present from the beginning to the end of the stay. It was a real summer camp between adults, I could not have asked for better!!

The desire to travel in a van had been itching for some time. After several searches, we came across The Family Van. It was a wonderful experience both in terms of supporting the team in preparing the trip and the experience in an electric van.
We explored the South West for 12 days, from the beaches of Lacanau to Hossegor via the Pyrenees. We loved the freedom that the van offers thanks to its versatile size, its comfort and the tranquility of driving electric.
The region offers charging stations everywhere and at ultra-reasonable prices, magnificent spots and a jovial atmosphere.

Very good experience with Family Van. It is a smiling, available, attentive team that offers a real decompression haven thanks to its combined formula of “trip in an electric van”, and “surfing”. The team is pro. The stay needs to be refined to avoid the excess of kilometers and leave more time to stroll and enjoy (the Lège Cap-Ferret area to the Basque Country is preferred) to make the nomadic side and the time to enjoy (in a group or alone) equitable. Another improvement expected to make this stay a best seller: more support and advice during surfing lessons for learning and better define the hours of surfing to avoid delays due to inertia (from a group that would not go at the same speed and who learns the starting place and time too late).

Excellent welcome as part of an organized camp. The vans are very well laid out and easy to use. Noémie and Kevin are extremely welcoming, caring and trustworthy. The whole rental and the camp were perfectly organized. I highly recommend and will probably go back to enjoy the Moors and the Basque Country thanks to The Family Van.

The trip, the surf teacher, the campervan, the meetings, the stops, the restaurants... everything was great! It was the first time that my partner and I traveled in a van, and we will do it again with our eyes closed. Driving an electric car is a huge plus! We went in a van with a 14 month old child all weekend. The Family Van team not only gave us names of beautiful campsites to park but also really gave us confidence for this mini road trip on the coast. Driving the electric and automatic van is a real pleasure. Three seats in the front ok for a baby seat. I recommend x1000. Our experience was great from start to finish. Charging or thinking about the consumption of a van is not a problem in itself since I think that it corresponds exactly to the slow and agile lifestyle (prerequisites for traveling in a van). We had a magical stay in the Moors and the Basque countries thanks to The Family Van. We were able to enjoy the magnificent landscapes and, thanks to their advice, a great surfing lesson. No problem charging the van with sockets that exist everywhere. The insulation of the van is perfect we were not cold even in the Pyrenees. The Family Van team was always listening and available to answer our questions.

We spent 10 days in a van! And it was a great experience! The van is perfect, it has everything you need, electric is a real pleasure! The Thé Family Van team is attentive and very well organized. We recommend 100%, not to mention the discovery of the Basque Country, a pure wonder!

It was an incredible experience! The vans are well thought out in terms of storage, the bedding is of good quality with a comforter that keeps you warm! We had meals included in the van and it was nice not to have to go shopping all the time because we forgot something there with the roadbook: several recipes were dedicated to us with all the ingredients in the van! Then, speaking of the Electric Van, I enjoyed driving it. But it's smooth to drive and you get used to it very quickly and the size of the van is not too tall or too big!
In terms of electricity, it charges quickly depending on the terminals of course but one night at the campsite was enough for us! Then there is an app to allow you to find an electrical terminal in the area, which allows you to help when you want to travel a bit and plan along the way!
Then the Van family, to a concierge if we had a problem during the day, which made it possible to reach them at any time easily and quickly.
The concept of a surf trip in an electric van is an incredible idea, it felt like being in a summer camp for adults! Then the surfing lessons with Antoine were very pleasant, he listens and explains to us to help us evolve, he adapts to all levels. Having him with us allowed us to have an opinion on a city to visit, hikes or activities to do! In the end, we were so sad to leave each other, it's a pretty crazy experience in one week!

I rented an electric van to discover the moors with my dog (The Family Van is “Pets Friendly”). My biggest fear was struggling to charge the van. But in fact, there are many stations installed and in addition, easy to locate, with the ChargeMap application. A nice escape in a van

A great escape with very well equipped vans, the multiple landscapes of New Aquitaine, no difficulty in finding a welcoming campsite, charging stations.

First experience in a van in the Landes and the Basque Country incredible, with an organization of The Family Van team at the top. The team provides us with a roadbook that allows us to organize our stay, give us ideas on activities and places to visit along our entire itinerary. There are also recipes that are adapted to the van. The van is super comfortable and contains everything you need to cook, eat outside, surf (chairs, table, drying rack, boards, wetsuits, poncho,...). Also driving and charging electric cars are super easy. The itinerary was adapted for each charge.
Our days were punctuated by a surf lesson in the morning adapted to our level. Then walks, visits to the various spots or get back in the van to continue our itinerary while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. A big thank you to the team, we can't wait to come back for the next group trip!!

I went on a weekend with The Family Van for a trip along the Landes coast, to the Basque country! On this trip, I packed my mom, our flip flops and our towels. The Family Van offers a very well thought-out route, from the Arcachon Bay to the Basque Country, for perfect sports and tourist holidays!
Kevin and Noëmie accompanied us for this week of surfing, skateboarding, walking, hiking... Thanks to them, the group was able to spend good human moments around aperitifs and barbecues in magnificent places.

First experience in a van carried out with The Family Van Team last week in the Basque Country.
An extraordinary stay that allowed us to reconnect with nature, to discover new spots every day in a very accessible way and in complete freedom without a real detailed program; a real pleasure!
The attentive, smiling and available team takes care of you from the beginning to the end of your stay. Everything is designed to make the most of your experience. The van is very well laid out, all spaces are optimized with storage, a kitchen area, an outdoor shower, a dry toilet, a sofa that can be transformed into a double bed, an indoor and outdoor table, outdoor chairs. A lot of things are also provided so that you have as few things as possible to bring by yourself: dishes, bed linen, kitchen essentials etc.
In summary it is an experience that we loved, that is turnkey and that we recommend with our eyes closed!

We went as a couple for a week exploring the French and Spanish Basque coast, as well as the Pyrenees. We came back full of stars in our eyes:

Noémie from Family Van prepared a road trip for us in the Basque Country, combining mountains and sea, from France to Spain.
She was able to fully understand our expectations and needs: we are traveling with our two-year-old child and everything has been adapted for her, from the pace to the activities.
It is a team of enthusiasts who manage to transmit its values through their work. Attentive and responsive, we will be happy to leave with them.

Our van road trip was great. The van itself is very well thought out, we have space, it is airy and not too busy. Easy to use and really pleasant.

We identified a few points that could be improved, such as the cover, which was a bit small for two, I think that individualizing it can be nice and adding a fixed mirror as well. The electrical side is great in the sense that the level of impact on the environment and the silence is really important for us, we had trouble recharging the van because many terminals in Biarritz did not work, which caused a little stress but I think it's a habit and a habit to get into.

In any case the size of the van allowed us to go everywhere without problems and the layout is really nice.

It made us want to do it again! Everything was smooth in the exchanges from the moment of booking and very easy. 1st experience in a van and 1st experience in an electric vehicle, we are won over! As soon as you book, all the explanations are very clear, it's a great idea to view the videos before departure as well as the recommendations on applications to download in order to facilitate the stay. The team is very responsive if you need to (which was the case to help us recharge the vehicle), which is very reassuring when you are not used to it. They are also very good advice on places where you can sleep.It's another way to think about your stay and you get used to it very quickly.We only want to do it again!
