This touring retreat that we have dreamt up with Cleo is a mix of everything we love: vanlife, running, the waves, movement, good food around a table and meeting people, nature, the south-west. Whether you want to learn to surf, challenge yourself on a run (or not!), escape for a few days by discovering vanlife, or simply meet new people during these 5 days: you are in the right place!

Alternating between her city life in Paris and a quieter one close to the ocean, Cleo is passionate. About movement, about creating, about the encounters that do you good. Active on social media since 2012, the content she has been sharing these last few years reflects the way of life she now wants: a healthier lifestyle, where movement through the sports she loves (surfing, pilates, running) lets her keep a life that is balanced both physically and mentally.
Noémie, for her part, co-founded The Family Van in 2021, with one idea in mind (among others!): to make traditional campervan travel more responsible, and to offer sporty group trips, by campervan, in the south-west.
In 2022, we worked with Cléo for the first time, and it was love at first sight - as friends, but as entrepreneurs too! Friends in real life today, we are very happy to be able to offer you a hand-stitched trip which we hope will carry you into our respective worlds: vanlife, the south-west, the good tables where you sit and talk, the ocean <3

This retreat was designed so that you can disconnect from your everyday life and reconnect with yourself during 5 days of a group campervan trip <3
Thanks to our unique roaming concept, movement changes and can be practised anywhere: a run in Hossegor, a surf session in Hendaye, a hike in the Basque mountains…

Go solo, as a pair or as 3
As part of our retreat, you can go as a pair, as a three or else on your own, sharing a van with another participant.
Our vans:
- Sofa & 140x190 pull-out bed
- 220x180 roof tent
- Built-in kitchen & fridge
- Outdoor equipment (chairs, table, lamp etc..)
- Outdoor shower & dry toilet
- Auxiliary battery with USB port
-Clean bedding (fitted sheet, duvet cover...)

The south-west of France is one of the regions whose natural and cultural heritage is among the richest in the world.

Tailor-made trip
I had heard about this company on social media and I admit that the idea of travelling electric appealed to me from an ecological point of view.
Right from the booking, our questions about the car seat (which was bought for the occasion, thanks again!) and other details were answered very quickly.
The campervan was very pleasant to drive and everything you need was available. Camping chairs and a tent + sleeping bag were even provided. Everything is ultra practical and good-looking on top of that. The double mattress is very comfortable and suited all 3 of us!
You get used to electric very easily. We had a bit of a scare in the Spanish Basque mountains with the battery running down quickly, but if you know that, honestly we did not feel slowed down at all by the electric side. It is great to drive and to say to yourself that you can enjoy nature while polluting it a little less.
So we highly recommend the experience, and with thefamilyvan in particular. Thanks again to the whole team for the organisation and the quality equipment you make available.

A friendly team, quick to respond and ready to listen. There was everything you need to travel for a few days. We'd taken an extra little blanket given the temperatures (February). We hadn't planned a precise itinerary and made it up as we went along with places that were recommended or found online. Would do it again!
