A magnificent experience!! The organization of The Family Van was top notch, arrived at Dax station we picked up the van and our surfing gear, a few explanations for the autonomy and the charging of the vehicle, then the adventure begins! A great trip for a surf trip with recommendations for walking around and discovering our magnificent regions in France. The Family Van is planning a very copious lunch basket that lasted us all week! Then in this type of trip there are great encounters, Antoine who was our surf teacher, accompanied us all week through the different regions to find the best spots and during the sessions they give great advice for both beginners and intermediates! During the week, a group is also formed, with a warm and energetic atmosphere! So many beautiful memories, thank you The Family Van for this experience, we will be back:)

We spent a weekend of 3 days in Gironde with a Van The Family Van.The Van is small enough to pass through parking lots that block out at 1.90m, but very well laid out and comfortable.The electric side of the vehicle brings a lot of charge and is very consistent with the slow travel that we like to do in a Van with my girlfriend.I recommend

Great stay

The guides were at our disposal throughout the trip. We were able to discover these beautiful regions, as well as to surf regularly depending on the conditions. The surf schools chosen met our expectations, too bad that some days did not allow us to enjoy them because of the weather conditions... I recommend this stay! 🏄 ‍ ♂️

Thanks to Noémie and Kevin for this VERY friendly welcome as well as the very clear and fun explanations/demonstrations! Being already a fan of “vanlife” myself, I wanted to share this experience with my best friend and especially to make her discover this way of life. WE LOVED IT!! This van is extremely well thought out and equipped, the space is very optimized, we were able to store absolutely all our things (we are 2 girls I specify = a lot of stuff). First experience in an equipped van and first experience in an electric vehicle so a bit of apprehension.
But the team at The Family was very available and very efficient in answering all our questions and put us in the best conditions to make the most of the stay.
The vehicles are in excellent condition and are very easy to handle.
In addition, the fact that it is 1.90m high allows you to park everywhere, which is extremely practical.
I recommend without hesitation!

Great stay with this van, super well appointed and very comfortable. We enjoyed good weather between the Landes coast and the Basque coast. No worries with autonomy and there is everything you need on board to get lost on the best spots. The team was particularly friendly and available, we highly recommend it!

We went in a van with a young man...

We went in a van with a 14 month old child all weekend. The Family Van team not only gave us names of beautiful campsites to park but also really gave us confidence for this mini road trip on the coast. Driving the electric and automatic van is a real pleasure. Three seats in the front ok for a baby seat. I recommend x1000. Our experience was great from start to finish. Charging or thinking about the consumption of a van is not a problem in itself since I think that it corresponds exactly to the slow and agile lifestyle (prerequisites for traveling in a van). An unforgettable experience

An unforgettable experience, a real road trip among the sublime landscapes of South West France in an electric van and the best introduction to surfing possible (I had never surfed before the stay and was able to progress very quickly thanks to the free surfing lessons and sessions).

The vans were very comfortable and pleasant, just like each of the campsites. We left as a couple and felt really at home.

All the surf spots, surf lessons, restaurants, bars and activities (especially great skateboarding lessons), picnic spots on the shores of lakes and forests had been selected with great care by Kevin and Noémie, who accompanied us with their incredible energy and enthusiasm to help us discover the best places with them at each stage of the trip:)

Go there with your eyes closed, we already dream of going back.

3 great days spent thanks to the family van, rediscovering the Basque country under a beautiful sun. Whether before, during the rental and even when returning the van, the welcome and availability of the team was more than great. Electric driving is easy, the layout of the van is practical and pleasant, in short I can only recommend!!

A great relaxing stay thanks to the silence of the electric! The use of the electric vehicle is very easy, including charging at the terminals that can be found easily everywhere thanks to applications or the phone's GPS. In addition, we were won over by the enthusiastic and adorable welcome from the team, on the way there and back. We wish this small family business a great and long journey!!

All utensils, salt, coffee, comforter, pillows everything! You just have to come with your stuff!

Big plus for us, it's animal friendly, so you can travel with your 4-legged friend!

Very well equipped van where everything is there and has been well thought out, very pleasant to drive thanks to its small footprint, you can park everywhere. It is easy to recharge it either at the fast terminals or simply at night on a simple plug in the campsites while you sleep! Noémie and the team are very responsive and friendly, they are there to answer questions at any time. It was our first experience and I was a bit worried but in the end it was very simple! We spent 10 days in a van! And it was a great experience! The van is perfect, it has everything you need, electric is a real pleasure! The Thé Family Van team is attentive and very well organized. We recommend 100%, not to mention the discovery of the Basque Country, a pure wonder!

9 days of vacation in an electric campervan. It was fun and fun to drive. If you stay in the same region and don't leave for miles, electricity is not a problem! There is storage and the bed is quite comfortable. The only disadvantage is that you have to cover yourself well if you leave when it is cold, because the insulation is very light.

The stay was just great in every way!
It was a first for me in electric vans. It is perfectly adapted to the proposed travel format, all itineraries are calculated in advance for our comfort. We don't have to worry about autonomy or other fears that we can think of in relation to electricity. Also, the vehicles are super well equipped and very comfortable.

Superb week

Great week: friends, surfing, hiking and tapas!
We started as a group in Dax and then in 2 hours we arrived in San Sebastian. We discovered the Spanish Basque Country and the Cantabria region, which is really worth a visit. And we went back to the French Basque Country the last two days.

Great experience with The Family Van! The van is very well equipped, we were able to take full advantage of it during a week of roadtrip between French and Spanish Basque Country!

Going on an adventure with The Family Van is trying an extraordinary experience. A pre-scheduled road trip with a roadbook and surfing lessons every morning. An experience full of promises, a team of 8 people who do not know each other, for a stay rich in landscapes and encounters. A special mention to Antoine, a top surfing teacher with good advice on the stages of the Road. Not to mention the team available at any time in case of need through the concierge. I would highly recommend this experience!

Very good experience for our part, we spent a week following the proposed itinerary which gave us a lot more around the villages of the Basque Country.
Note that the electric van requires a gentle pace, which is very appreciable.

The van is very well laid out, all spaces are optimized with storage, a kitchen area, an outdoor shower, a dry toilet, a sofa that can be transformed into a double bed, an indoor and outdoor table, outdoor chairs. A lot of things are also provided so that you have as few things as possible to bring by yourself: dishes, bed linen, kitchen essentials etc.

An unforgettable road trip!

Van trip was a big first for me! Despite the unpredictable weather we were able to fully enjoy the surfing sessions and no need for sun when you are accompanied by Noémie and Kévin who are real sunbeams.

We had a great weekend around Lake Lacanau. The van is very well equipped and easy to drive. We appreciated the electrical aspect all the more and had no charging problems. Great experience with The Family Van! We spent 6 nights in the South West with their electric van with my boyfriend, and everything went great. The van was great: comfortable, well equipped, very pleasant to drive. We found that the fact that it is electric is really a plus because it is quiet, easy to recharge and economical. Noémie and Kevin were great from start to finish! Very professional, welcoming and available to answer our questions:) We definitely recommend if you are looking for a cool, practical and ecological way to discover the region!

It was a great experience, a human, sporting and super rewarding adventure. The idea of mixing road-trip in a campervan, with an electric vehicle, all in a group makes the trip very interesting in all aspects. In terms of surfing lessons, Antoine is simply at the top! Both cool and educational, he plays an important role in this trip by not only limiting himself to his activity as an instructor, he is a guide present from the beginning to the end of the stay. It was a real summer camp between adults, I could not have asked for better!!

It was an incredible experience! The vans are well thought out in terms of storage, the bedding is of good quality with a comforter that keeps you warm! We had meals included in the van and it was nice not to have to go shopping all the time because we forgot something there with the roadbook: several recipes were dedicated to us with all the ingredients in the van! Then, speaking of the Electric Van, I enjoyed driving it. But it's smooth to drive and you get used to it very quickly and the size of the van is not too tall or too big!
In terms of electricity, it charges quickly depending on the terminals of course but one night at the campsite was enough for us! Then there is an app to allow you to find an electrical terminal in the area, which allows you to help when you want to travel a bit and plan along the way!
Then the Van family, to a concierge if we had a problem during the day, which made it possible to reach them at any time easily and quickly.
The concept of a surf trip in an electric van is an incredible idea, it felt like being in a summer camp for adults! Then the surfing lessons with Antoine were very pleasant, he listens and explains to us to help us evolve, he adapts to all levels. Having him with us allowed us to have an opinion on a city to visit, hikes or activities to do! In the end, we were so sad to leave each other, it's a pretty crazy experience in one week!

The welcome was nice, the van in great condition and finally the electric experience quite cool. The initial stress is gradually disappearing. You just need to know that it's not made for long stays and long mileages. To be done again...

I rented an electric van to discover the moors with my dog (The Family Van is “Pets Friendly”). My biggest fear was struggling to charge the van. But in fact, there are many stations installed and in addition, easy to locate, with the ChargeMap application. I really enjoyed traveling in silence:) And parking in the only parking space that was left... reserved for electric cars, to plug in. Then, the Landes department, and great! Loved it! The team is very attentive, they help, throughout our trip, if we have a technical question! Very reassuring!

The Family Van offers a very well thought-out route, from the Arcachon Bay to the Basque Country, for perfect sports and tourist holidays!
Kevin and Noëmie accompanied us for this week of surfing, skateboarding, walking, hiking... Thanks to them, the group was able to spend good human moments around aperitifs and barbecues in magnificent places.

I recommend this unforgettable experience with The Family Van, Kévin and Noémie are incredibly kind, attentive and very professional, between the first contact and the meeting on site everything was put together in an irreproachable manner.
The 5 days in a surfskate yoga van trip that I spent with the group were a pure delight, being the veteran of the band (53 years old) I had a little apprehension but I immediately felt at ease as if we had known each other forever.
The surfskate lessons with @tensehorr allowed me to progress well thanks to Hortense who is very attentive, pro, patient, pedagogue and who provided us with excellent boards from the Yow brand
The vehicles are very well maintained, equipped and very practical.

First experience in a van for my boyfriend and I, we loved it. We visited the Basque country (French and Spanish) at the pace of an electric van.
We took the opportunity to surf thanks to the boards rented with the van.
The team is great and gives lots of advice for beginners in van life. They are super responsive if you have questions before or during your trip.

The family van team was great

The family van team was great and really thought of everything to please their customers. The van is very well equipped and really easy to drive. The destinations were well chosen, the surf lessons good, especially in Capbreton. Two small drawbacks for me: the first was sharing the van with a stranger and having only slept in the tent located above (I knew in advance that it was shared but did not fully understand the tent system and thought that we could have exchanged roles so I am partly responsible for it), the second the poor condition of the equipment from the last surfing lesson, the information should be reported and processed because the Family team is very reactive! Experience to repeat to know real life only in Van:) I recommend!

We had a magical stay in the Moors and the Basque countries thanks to The Family Van. We were able to enjoy the magnificent landscapes and, thanks to their advice, a great surfing lesson. No problem charging the van with sockets that exist everywhere. The insulation of the van is perfect we were not cold even in the Pyrenees. The Family Van team was always listening and available to answer our questions.

First experience in a van in the Landes and the Basque Country incredible, with an organization of The Family Van team at the top. The team provides us with a roadbook that allows us to organize our stay, give us ideas on activities and places to visit along our entire itinerary. There are also recipes that are adapted to the van. The van is super comfortable and contains everything you need to cook, eat outside, surf (chairs, table, drying rack, boards, wetsuits, poncho,...). Also driving and charging electric cars are super easy. The itinerary was adapted for each charge.
Our days were punctuated by a surf lesson in the morning adapted to our level. Then walks, visits to the various spots or get back in the van to continue our itinerary while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. A big thank you to the team, we can't wait to come back for the next group trip!!

We had no problems whatsoever with the vehicle's equipment and the recharging of the vehicle. Hoping to be able to go back with them this summer!!

First of all, it was with a smile and enthusiasm that we were welcomed in Dax. Fans of vanlife, we still needed to do a tour of how to use an electric vehicle. The van offers classic and easy to use features, everything is thought out, planned, in detail. We want to emphasize the electric experience: this mode of propulsion is much more suitable for a road trip than diesel for a lot of reasons! It's cool, quiet, relaxing! You can stop 100 times a day to take photos without worrying about the “heaviness” of restarting the engine. Thanks to regenerative braking, you no longer touch the brake pedal when approaching a roundabout or when descending a pass, and each time the gain in autonomy is considerable. We finally consumed 18 kW/h per 100 km, which is much less than expected by Peugeot. Fast charging stations are everywhere. In addition, reconnecting to the campground on 8 or 10 amps practically recharged us the next day's kilometers, making the cost of the night profitable. And as Dax can be the starting point for an infinite number of tourist sites in the mountains or on the coast, we wholeheartedly recommend this experience with Family Van! This small business benefits from making itself known and we wish them well!

A great week's stay with The Family Van, we loved it and plan to repeat the experience again! The van is very well appointed, comfortable, we found everything we needed, and nice touches as well. The team is very friendly and available. Travelling in a 100% electric van allowed us to make a nice short trip in the Spanish Basque Country without any problem to recharge. I recommend!!

The very warm team at The Family Van offers an incredible experience out of the ordinary.
Electric vans allow total autonomy and freedom, we alternate between surfing sessions and walks in the South-West region, a delight!

We had a great vacation cruising the Basque coast aboard the Malibu campervan! A big thank you to the team who was helpful and responsive. We will be back for new adventures with great pleasure:)

Just a great experience! On board the van I was able to experience great freedom, with magnificent natural landscapes and then surfing lessons in the same spirit! We decided to make the electric van our first experience in a van, because we had a very good contact with Kevin from Van Family at a trade show, a new but very dynamic company.
Overall, you were very satisfied with their services (creation of a super book for the trip; assistance throughout the stay...). The only negative downside is related to the network of electrical terminals, access to which is different depending on the distributor, especially difficult in Spain... which puts stress on the trip.

The desire to travel in a van had been itching for some time. After several searches, we came across The Family Van. It was a wonderful experience both in terms of supporting the team in preparing the trip and the experience in an electric van.
We explored the South West for 12 days, from the beaches of Lacanau to Hossegor via the Pyrenees. We loved the freedom that the van offers thanks to its versatile size, its comfort and the tranquility of driving electric.
The region offers charging stations everywhere and at ultra-reasonable prices, magnificent spots and a jovial atmosphere.
Thanks again to The Family Van for such a great experience!

A first in an electric van that went very well!

A friendly, responsive and attentive team. There was everything you needed to travel for a few days. We had brought a small extra blanket in view of the temperatures (February). We did not plan a specific itinerary and gradually came up with recommended places or found on the internet. To be done again!

Great experience with The Family Van. Pick up the van close to Dax station, no surprise price once there and a very pleasant welcome. Kévin and Noémie took the time to explain to us the different functions of the van and were available throughout the trip. The van is very pleasant to drive and very comfortable to create beautiful memories across the Basque Country. I highly recommend it!

1st experience in a van and 1st experience in an electric vehicle, we are won over! As soon as you book, all the explanations are very clear, it's a great idea to view the videos before departure as well as the recommendations on applications to download in order to facilitate the stay. The team is very responsive if you need to (which was the case to help us recharge the vehicle), which is very reassuring when you are not used to it. They are also very good advice on places where you can sleep.It's another way to think about your stay and you get used to it very quickly.We only want to do it again!

First experience in a Van

We took a short tour of Landes and the Basque Country in an electric van from The Family Van this summer. The team that looked after us is great, helpful, welcoming, available throughout our stay if we had any questions or need help, you can trust them with your eyes closed.
The vans are new, well maintained, functional, everything is there for a good stay.
For our first time in a van, we highly recommend The Family Van;)
